Valley View uses the Art Docent Program to provide our students with lessons on the history of art and an opportunity to create their own art using the various ideas and techniques that were employed by the masters. The program is run by parent volunteers who come into the classroom approximately 5 to 8 times a year. It is funded solely by parent donations during the art show that the docents put on during Open House, at the end of the school year and some extra funds (needed due to our growing student population) comes from the tile decorating fundraiser.
Currently on hold but we hope to welcome our art docents back into the classrooms soon!
